This Privacy Policy explains how Change Purpose Action Coaching LLC (“Organizer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information about you when you use our websites, mobile sites, event registration pages, and other online services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Sites”), or when you otherwise interact with us in connection with the DFW Juneteenth Wellness & Empowerment Retreat and Gala (the “Event”). By accessing or using the Sites, or by attending or registering for the Event, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page and may provide additional notice (such as a notice on our homepage or by email). We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy whenever you access the Sites or engage with us to stay informed about our information practices.

We collect information about you in various ways, including information you provide directly, information collected automatically when you use the Sites, and information from other sources.

2.1 Information You Provide to Us

We may collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you register for the Event or purchase tickets, create an account or complete a profile, fill out forms or surveys, join our email list or request information, make a sponsorship, donation, or payment, apply to be a vendor, speaker, or sponsor, or communicate with us via email, phone, or social media. The types of information we may collect include contact details (name, email address, postal address, phone number), event registration and ticketing details, company and role information (for sponsors, vendors, and partners), payment information (processed by third-party payment processors), and any other information you choose to provide in forms or communications.

2.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you access or use the Sites, we may automatically collect certain information. This includes log information (browser type, access times, pages viewed, IP address, the page you visited before navigating to our Sites); device information (hardware model, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, mobile network information); usage data (time spent on pages, links clicked, referring/exit pages, and other activity within the Sites); and cookie and tracker data collected through cookies, pixels, web beacons, and similar technologies, as described in Section 5.

2.3 Information We Collect from Other Sources

We may receive information about you from other sources and combine it with information we collect through the Sites. For example, we may receive data from social media platforms when you interact with us or use social login; from ticketing, registration, or email marketing platforms we use to manage the Event; or from publicly available sources or partners (e.g., co-hosts, sponsors, or affiliate organizations).

We may use information about you for various purposes, including to provide, operate, and improve the Sites and the Event; process registrations, ticket purchases, sponsorships, and other transactions; send confirmations, receipts, updates, security alerts, and administrative messages; communicate with you about the Event, related programming, and future events; personalize content and communications based on your interests; analyze usage and trends to improve our offerings and marketing; protect the security and integrity of the Sites and our systems; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for research, reporting, or marketing purposes.

We may share information about you as follows or as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy: with vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need access to such information to perform services on our behalf (e.g., payment processors, email service providers, event platforms, analytics providers); with select sponsors and partners of the Event for limited purposes, such as fulfillment of sponsorship benefits, lead lists (where permitted and with consent where required), or co-branded programming; to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes, or to respond to lawful requests; to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property and that of our users, partners, or the public; and in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of organizational assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our organization. We do not sell your personal information in exchange for money. Where applicable law treats certain sharing for advertising as a “sale” or “sharing,” we will provide appropriate disclosures and choices.

5. Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (“Trackers”) to operate and improve the Sites. Cookies are small data files stored on your device that help us recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and understand how you use the Sites. Web beacons or pixels are small electronic images used to deliver cookies, count visits, understand usage and campaign effectiveness, and determine whether an email has been opened or acted upon.

5.1 Types of Trackers We Use

We use various trackers including necessary cookies required for the Sites to function (e.g., page navigation, secure login, form submission); performance and analytics cookies to help us understand how visitors use the Sites so we can improve performance and user experience; functionality cookies to remember your preferences (e.g., language, region); and marketing cookies (if used) to help us deliver relevant promotions and measure the effectiveness of campaigns.

5.2 Your Choices About Cookies

You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies or use any cookie banner or privacy preferences tools we provide. Please note that if you disable certain cookies, some features of the Sites may not function properly.

The Sites are operated from the United States. If you access the Sites from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers are located. Those countries may have data protection laws that are different from the laws of your country. We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to operate the Event and related programming, comply with legal, tax, or accounting obligations, and resolve disputes and enforce agreements. We may retain aggregated or de-identified data for longer periods.

9. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, such as accessing and updating your information, requesting deletion of your information, opting out of marketing emails by using the “unsubscribe” link in our messages, and restricting or objecting to certain processing. To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 11. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request and may decline requests where permitted or required by law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Sites and the Event are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or other age as defined by local law). If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information.
